I applied for FAFSA and was approved i accepted my awards last week. When i called the financial aid office at my school they told me they were waiting on GSL to transfer the funds to the bank and then to them. Does any one know how long this takes? Will i even get this money this semester. i have heard different things and just want some answers

I filled out my financial aid offer in March. I accepted the federal direct unsubsidized student loan and the Parent Plus loan for the full amount, because that was the only way I had to pay. Now I have received some scholarships and I don’t know if I am required to take out the full amount of the Plus loan of if I can forget about it(what I would like to do). I haven’t filled out the promissary note yet, and I haven’t done the bank application. Can I get out of the Plus loan?

I attended university from Fall of 04 to Winter of 06. During that time, I took out 2 student loans. I basically been out of school almost 3 years, and have not started to pay those off. I want to return this fall, so I just filled out my FASFA application online. Will the non-payment of these loans affect my eligibility for financial aid?

For this fall semester I didnt expect to get anything for financial aid, so I applied for a third party student loan, and I was approved, but havnt accepted it yet. However I did recieve financial aid, so now I have extra money avaialable. If I take it, will that affect my financial aid in the nearby future?

Uh, Robert…those people didn’t have the tuition bills we have. We’re not living in the 50s. How did you get top contributor status with an attitude like that?

I have been emancipated by the court since 18.My parents refuse to give me financial details so I cannot fill out FASCO for student loans.Any ideas ? I received aid in California but the state that I moved to said I must have parental finance reports
