I am a ward of the state so I think I qualify somewhat well since I dont have parents who have a high income. So I am wondering what percentage financial aid will cover? If you dont know do you maybe have a ballpark figure? And, also, does financial aid only cover state schools and does it cover only your undergraduate degrees? Thank you very much for your time.

Last year my husband and I earned too much (combined) to be eligible for Financial Aid. This year we are earning much less, especially me, but I’m still not sure what they consider a small enough amount to grant aid. Does anyone here have a general idea?

I am paying for it myself. I have the money saved. I am not applying for financial aid or any scholarships. I am just curious what they use it for. My parents told me to always be careful with it.

On my FAFSA I had put down that I was planning on taking 12 hours during the next semester. A part of me is worried that I might not be able to handle the coursework and I might end up dropping at least one course. Will I lose my financial aid if I drop a course? I got grants + loans from FAFSA.
