I attend Baltimore City Community College. The financial aid office informed me that refund checks will be sent to people approximately 60 days after the semster starts. The semester started on january 26th. So will I get it on March 27th? What is the lastest I will recieve my refund check if it doesn’t come exactly on March 27th? I’m filling out my financial aid forms for grad school and I’m reporting my current savings. I will be using them for as a down payment this summer for a home before I go to school. Should I report how I will be using them or not? If I do, then I potentially have a larger asset (Property) that could be used to scale down my financial aid. If I don’t they could see that as money I should be using for tuition.

I know if you want to get financial aid for the fall or spring semesters in college you have to fill out the FAFSA and they provide you with grants/scholarships/loans if you qualify. But is it possible to get grants or scholarships for summer classes? Reason I am asking is because during fall and spring semesters I stay on campus, and I have to do an internship plus a class that goes along with it, and the internship has to be off campus, but I don’t know of any places around here where I could do the internship. It has to be around here because I would have to take the bus to it since I can’t drive. Either that or I would have to do the internship and the class over the summer, which means I would have to pay for the class, but I can’t afford to pay. So is there a way for me to get financial aid for the summer if I wanted to do it over the summer? How?
