Sterling W asked:
I am a young married mother of three and would love to go back to school. I can not afford most colleges, though. My family is very hard-working yet still on a very tight budget. I was hoping that someone could help me with the different types of financial aid offers. I live a little over an hour away from the nearest college and with gas prices I was hoping there was a way to get help with that and child care. I know if I was a single mom I could get a lot more help. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I applied for a financial aid appeal for $5,000 to a private university that costs about $40,000 a year. We had lost our home and also my mom had lost her job ( she was finally able to find one) I have tried all my other options. I also am an out-of-state student. I am going to be a teacher. Im just wondering has anyone filed one of these and what do you think my chances are of getting the aid.

I’m changing schools and am still eligible to receive the full financial aid I have applied for. The problem is the financial aid will not cover the full cost of tuition. The school needs me to pay out of pocket to cover everything. Is there any way to apply for additional financial aid or additional student loans?

I want to apply to some medical program, but the problem is, how does Financial Aid work? Is it possible to get loans easily (without a cosigner) all for years, or does trouble come somewhere down the line on how to cover costs? What options do I have…HELP! Thanks and God bless!

My son-in-law will be getting out of the Marines this summer after 4 years, and will be doing 4years inactive duty. Is there anyone out there who knows what is available for him in financial aid? From what I read about the GI bill online, I’m not even sure he’ll be eligible for that.
