I called my college yesterday and I wasn’t eligible for financial aid when I’ve been getting every year. I should be because I don’t have a job and I’m a dependant without spouses or income and my GPA is 3.0 up. I checked on FAFSA but it said that the problem was they thought I wasn’t a US Citizen when I am!! Is there any way to still get the aid? Make them see that I am?

My question is if I want to report them to the department of education, how will I do that? What procedure do I need to follow? Can I sue them after I report them to the department of education?

Besides tuition and books, what else can i spend my financial aid on? I heard i can spend it on transportation and rent/room and board. I would be taking the bus and i live on my own.

Another question i have is, with the remaining financial aid how do i prove that i am paying it towards whats legally allowed instead of lets say a stereo? And what if i spend the remaining financial aid on everything that is allowed and still have left over money, do i have to send it back or what do i do with it?

THe only way im going back to school is if I get a grant or some form of financial aid, i dont want to repay 80,000 dollars, I really dont. So, how would I do that? How can I go back to school? Im choosing art school because I cant even pass pre-algebra, Im horrible at math, but good at english and art and music, ect.
